Thank you Howard for the informative answers.
The battery does not seem to be bulging on the sides. I bought the car last summer with 155K miles, according to PO records the battery was last replaced in 1994 at 70K miles -- for some reasons I think the battery was changed since, it does not look that old. Is there a way of knowing what year an Interstate was made? The PO did not remove the stickers on the interstate label to date the battery.
At Autozone they tested the battery under load and said it was fully charged. I went in to ask them to charge it so they said it was not necessary after their test.
I usually set my blower to 1 when I use the heater -- AC does not work, so I don't use the blower with the AC...
When it rains heavily my front windshield always get fogged up, and only keeping the blower on 4 clears it, especially if I have passengers. Once things clear up I can go down to 3 or 2, but it takes a while.
The small autonalyzer I bought has amp testing, can't I do amp testing under load as well? To what amperage should I set the dial for that test if I can indeed do it? Load would simply means that I turn on various electrical devices in my car, right?
Thanks.
