first post----headlights 200 1990

If the key is out and the headlight switch is off, it'll be OK to fiddle with it. However, it is still good practice to remove the negative cable off the battery before doing anything electrical on the car.

The high/low beam is the same bulb - a 9004. If one wire's loose, though, I won't be suprised if the other is too.

If you remove the rubber boot around the connector, these are the color codes ...

Red wire = low beam
Blue wire = high beam
Black wire = ground.
