66 122 purchase update...... 120-130

Well I paid for the 66 and was given the 3" of paperwork that came with the car. I was excited to go through it to learn the history of the car. Wellll the 3" turned out to be 2.5" of IPD catelogs, The owners manual, (good score), and receipts for work that had been done in 99 and 2000. Sheesh. Oh well, I still love the car and will fix it.

I didn't do too bad. Paid $700 and the work done in 99 and 2000 totals over 2300. All the good stuff was done. Brakes including cylinders. Clutch system completely gone through. radiator, wiper motor, shocks, etc.

What made me laugh is this. When I bought the car it did not run. The guy didn't try and tell me it would run but I thought the engine bay looked pretty good and the overall condition of the car does not show any abuse so I figured I could get it to run. Well as I read through the work that had been done the very last slip of paper is from a shop in town telling her the head gasket is blown. A month later she has sold it to the guy I bought it from.

Knowing this I'm still happy with my purchase. Now my first question of many to come. Can I bolt in any B20 to the existing tranny and intake/exhaust? I have a chance at a 74 144 with a rebuilt motor for 350. Can I take the FI off and bolt this baby in? Any tricks or quirks?

Thanks
