Borg Warner 35 (automatic) HELP! 140-160 1970

Most people do not like the BW35. They last long, but don't drive as nice as the AW series fitted to later Volvo's. But the reason for not driving nice is the same reason for lasting a long time. It's the slip on gear change that cause wear.

I'm not about to give you advice, because I do not have any on this matter, but I do beg you to please post any comments/results/tips you might have. Having a '71 with BW35 myself, I find it hard to get any tips. It's like virtually everyone just replace it with a manual, which is adding the most difficuilt job (not difficuilt, others are just easier) to the car of having to replace the clutch every now and again.

Thanks in advance.
