Newbie brick Driver- Need Engine swap suggestions!!! 200

Hi guys,

Just registered with these here brick boards. Yep, hot off the press, fresh out of the oven, you can smell the brick newbie goodness! Or.... not. Anyway, I have bought *'Psycho' music* a 264 GL with the PRV engine. One of the valves is making a fantastic ticking sound, and when my father and I pulled off the cam cover, the case hardening on the cam has worn off. We will do our best to extend the life of the old engine (i.e. unblock oil galleries, etc) but we need to look at alternatives. They need to be A) cheap (don't they always?) B) easy (ditto) and C) reliable. My favourite would have to be a 1UZ-FE 4 litre V8 from a Lexus SC400 (or otherwise known as a Toyota Soarer) Has anyone performed this swap? Or what others are suggested?

Sorry for the long post guys, look forward to many happy brick moments...

Cheers

Slaz
