Think My Air Mass Meter just went bad 700

I was wondering how far you can limp home with the AMM unplugged. I went into Wendy's for lunch and when I came out my 86 760 turbo would barely start and then stall immediately. I checked several things like the fuel pump and vacuum leaks, same result. I then tried unplugging the AMM and the car started and I was able to limp back to work. My problem now is if I can drive the car all the way home, about 30 miles. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mark
