Charging the new A/C Compressor 900 1995

Good evening
The A/C compressor pulley on this 95,960 gave way and next thing, shredded belt drive. We replaced the compressor, but charging it, there is a problem. We cannot locate the Low/High pressure intakes, so we just went ahead and charged the line and checked for leaks. No leaks, but the system dose not cool the way it should (very little cooling).
The question is, did we go about doing the right way of charging the system or is there other procedures to follow in order to increase the cooling?
Thanks.
