Hmm, perhaps I do have a "power" trunk lock. When I unlock the driver's side door, the trunk does unlock as part of central locking. Reading the earlier thread, I had assumed that a "power" trunk lock was one that unlocked completely remotely, like the trunk that opens on my friend's Acrua 3.5RL when he presses the button on his keychain. Do Volvos have this remote entry in any form, or do I already have the "best" original trunk mechanism?

So, is the only cable at the radio antenna the one that receives the signal? Are the others sitting there, just begging for the power antenna mechanism? The antenna is what I'd like to install/upgrade, not the trunk lock (having it unlock with central locking is just fine for the moment).
