Hey all.

Last night it rained pretty bad here. DOwnright torrential for a few minutes. OUr 945 was not driven in the rain storm and there was no flooding in our driveway.... Today, when we go to start it, it starts ok, but soon as it starts to settle down to the normal 700ish idle, the rpms drop to the floor, the car runs rough, and putting your foot into the accelerator doesn't do anything.

When I start it with my foot in it about 1/5th the way down, it starts, and runs fine as long as the rpms are maintained over 1500 or so... once it hits about 1200~1500 RPMs, it drops to nothing, but doesn't stall.

I'm replacing the distributor cap this weekend (was already planning on doing that anyway)so I'll see if that solves anything, but I doubt it.

I've read alot on this board about how an AMM sensor can cause this very symptom, and to disconnect the AMM and see of the car idles better without it, and if so I need a new one.

Here's the stupid question: Where *IS* the AMM sensor? Is cleaning it sufficient rather than buying a new one?

Any other things I should check?
