Thoughts on relocating fuel filter...

Fellow Brickster's...

After spending way too much time, and approaching the limit of frustration, changing the fuel filter on my 89 245. I would like to put the fuel filter back on the firewall (where it belongs). It seems that it should be just a matter of rerouting the fuel line(s). Anyone have experience doing this....thoughts....pros / cons..????

I may be missing something, as to why the fuel filter was relocated to such an ungodly place. Bad enough the fuel pump is there, let alone the filter.

Thanks,

Al
