Need help with fuses...confused by the fuse! 200

I have a 1988 240 that I was about to install a small tach into. I have all of the wires except power. This didn't seem like a big deal untill I heard that I could go with either fuse 5,12 or 13. This maid since, I thought, I would just pick the most convenient fuse and and pluge my wire. Well I went to look at my fuse box and not all of these fuses were the same amperage. What amperage do I want for supplying power to the tach? (not the light for it for it)? Also, I notice that on each fuse there were about three prongs lined up in which I could connet wires to from front to back...front being closest to me as I'm peering in the fuse box.
Thank you and happy bricking.
