Just to clarify-
Our race flywheel is $525, but the street flywheel is $425.
You cannot get a stock flywheel anywhere near as light as either one with any kind of safety. That's why lightweight flywheels are aluminum. Light flywheels are actually one of the best performance items per $ spent. Unlike $ spent on other items, a light weight flywheel gives you an advantage everytime the car accelerates and lasts forever. Even if you manage to screw up the ring gear or friction surface, they are easily replaceable.
