Well I took my car in friday to have the emissions test done. I knew heading over that the car was running rich and the idle was off but did it anywho.
The closest I came to passing on it was 1.66 and 1.60 on the hc (I think?). Co was 18.45 and 15 was passing. The other one was 8.60 and a 5 was needed to pass. I kind of laughed because I have never failed before with other cars.
They also ran a pressure test on the fuel system which also failed. Any good advice here would be great. The gas cap did pass so I am good there. I was thing of replacing both vent and intake hoses on the tank.
Yesterday my brother in law and I did a tune up on it and found the timing to be at well lets just say it was firing way before it should have been so we adjusted the distributor. We also tweaked the throttle switch and locking nut for the throttle valve. That took the idle from 1800 down to 750. Anywho my tach does not work so he has all the cool tools for that. Now I think it will pass after making the adjustments.
