First test the fan by unplugging the two connectors at the thermo switch on the radiator. With the motor running and the A/C turned on, connect the two connectors on the wire that leads to the fan that you just unplugged. If the fan starts, then the fan is O.K.
If the fan does not start, I just bought a used one on eBay for $26. Otherwise they cost from $175 to $250 (dealer price).
If the fan starts, then try swapping the relay on front of the coolant bottle with the relay next to it. The other relay powers the fuel injectors, but they are the same relay. If the car doesn't start, then the relay you just swapped is bad and you need to buy another one.
If the relays are both good, then think about replacing the thermo switch. FCP Groton has them for around $20.
That's all the information I can give you since I don't know enough about the wiring to the A/C system to give you any more advice.
