knocking/runs bad 700

170k miles...replaced oil pump rod bearings belts hoses plugs & wires timing belt cleaned ccv system (flame trap) at 140k miles and do regular maintainance...out of blue a big knock developed with bad running...suspected timing belt...found frozen tensioner and slipped belt...replaced both ...still runs bad and knocks ...must be ignition timing now as a result of torque from timing belt slip?....any nifty insights?...will launch next assault on problems this thursday...need a game plan...ty in advance
