A/C microswitch question 200 1988

I had a similar problem on my 82 (high idle) that was caused by the microswitch attached to the AC control. The case has cracked and the switch would not release at times in the off position. I crazy glued the unit back and all is well for the last two years. Look at the unit for a crack. Good luck.
