744T died on me while going 70mph on I-95! 700 1989

Welp, this is a first- my 744T decided to stall on my while traveling in dense traffic at about 70 mph in interstate 95. She remains dead despite numerous starting efforts! I just got towed home- and to be honest, I am lucky to still be in one piece, because the place that she stalled on I-95 had no shoulder whatsoever, so I was in the far left lane and nearly got creamed a few times. The cops came and I finally got a tow home, and I am now trying the obvious things- fuel pump relay, check spark, fuel delivery, etc. The strange thing is that I just gave her a tune up and noticed after I did the tune up the following day that I was having hard starts- like when the fuel system check valve goes and you have to turn it over a while before starting. I thought that it was just a coincidence and that I should replace the check valve- I wonder if the two problems are related- any ideas? Any help is much appreciated!
