Just took off tailshaft housing - a few questions 200 1986

Well first off I have an automatic AW 70/71 transmission in the car. It leaked fluid from the rear seal of the tranny so I figured I should replace bushign too. I have the tailshaft housing off.

1) Should the seal be pressed back tight against the bushing?

2) Is it necessary to apply some type of compound to the splines of the flange ? It smells as if there is some compound there.

3) What is the torque for:
a) the 6 tailshaft bolts
b) the retaining bolt for the flange
c) the 4 bolts holding the driveshaft to the flange
d) 4 bolts holding tranny support ( any specific torque ? )

4) Do you know of any replacement tranny bolts in the pan? I broke 2 of them off in the pan earlier. I hope I can extract them with an extractor?? Ideas?

Thanks guys/gals,

Smith
