Oil leak Turbo or front main engine seal 900 1992

My 940T has been leaking oil (3/4 qt every 800 miles). About 9 months after replacing turbo I found oil seeping from large hose connected to turbo that goes into the front of the car. The mechanic that installed the turbo felt it was sucking oil from engine because of wear and tear on engine. I took to volvo tech and they stated that the leak is from front engine seals. And they needed to be replace and timing belt because of moisture.

I am confused. Can turbo draw oil from front seals leak or does look like I have a bigger problem i.e. pulling oil from the engine? I did have these seals replaced when I first purchased the car!!!!!Along with timing belt.
