Tire size 140-160 1974

Look in the phonebook and see if there are any "Tire Factory"s where you are. I got some decent Kelley Euro Metric 165/15s there, only put about 1000 miles on them though before I swapped them out for something that actually helps control the car. Don't get me wrong, i'm talking about the size of the tires, WHICH I DO NOT RECOMMEND. The Kelley tires(might have been Cooper, can't remember actually) were good, better than all the other 165 tires i had(i had two other brands, one was old michelins and the others were original pirellis).

I wouldn't recommend putting on 165s. Seeing that you have the 74 model, you should be able to fit wider, more able tires on there.(and you said it currently has some 185s or 195s) I would recommend for you some 185/70s, they are closer to the original diameter than what most people are using,(195/65s or 205/60s) and will be slightly thinner than them. Also, they are much more "available" and you can get a much better tire, that will provide you with much better(SAFER) handling, braking, and grip in all situations except maybe snow. I can't put enough emphasis on that, my car was changed when i put decent tires on the car, much more traction when slowing down, speeding up, and turning. Grip in every situation will be better, except the deep snow blah blah blah. Please don't get 165s for your own safety and enjoyment.

My opinion, educated and tested even(well, not professionally, but yeah)
peace,
