Use a SAAB APC (automatic pressure control) system. You can pick up
the parts in a boneyard rather cheaply, the system is somewhat
adjustable, and it responds to knock by cutting back boost. SAAB
900Ts use this system in combination with Bosch LH-Jetronic fuel
injection, so it should be fine with your B230F. If you want to
run a decent level of boost without high-octane gas, you might
want to consider using a head from a B230FT 740 engine. When using
APC, you might want to disconnect the ignition's knock sensor
and have knock strictly be abated by the APC system. The APC cutting
back boost coupled with the ignition retarding timing might
cause an annoying amount of sudden power loss.
