760 B280F 'knocking' 700 1989

Thanks for the reply. I'm fairly certain it isn't what you describe, as I don't think this engine has a vacuum pump, although the symptoms sound the same. I'll have to look and listen closer. It appears the B28 has a vacuum pump in the location I'm describing, but my version of the B280F does not. When I first heard the sound it appeared to be coming from around the bellhousing, so at the moment it's a mystery.
