W/W won't park :( 200 1985

On my 85 Turbo Wagon, the windshield wipers ground to a halt - literally, one of the pole shoes came loose from the motor case and self destructed against the rotor.

So off to Advance Auto Parts (Aleentown PA) for a genuine certified rebuilt W/W moter and drive assembly for less than One Hundred Bucks ($99.99 :).

Installed same - ran good both slow and fast. But when you shut it off, the blades stop where ever they are. And on intermittent, it runs almost steadily, with just a short hiccup between cycles. And it doesn't park either.

Got a second rebuilt unit from Advance - exactly the same story. Took the cover off the gear case, everything seems to be "normal" inside - cams, points, etc.....

It was working fine with the old motor assembly - wiring looks good, etc...

Anybody ran into this before?

Dave
