Front end knocking 700 1990

Hi all,
I replaced control arm bushings with the poly ones from FCP, and ever since, I have had a knocking sound from the front left when hitting sharp bumps. I had some trouble getting the rear of the control arms to line up when bolting them back in. I'm wondering if I should put in the OE bushings instead, and also what else might be causing this noise.
