are flywheels compatible from different years? 740 M46-M47... 740-240??? 700 1988

Hey Gang,

I am out to replace my clutch next week, but before I do it, I want to pick up a flywheel at teh junkyard and get it resurfaced, that way when I do the job in my garage, I can do it all at once instead of laying the car up for a couple days.

DOes anyone know whether flywheels are compatible from different year volvos and cross models? I have an 88 M47. Will a flywheel from a M46 fit?

What about flywheels from 240's ? Will they work?
