Clock Spring 700 1992

Hi Chris.it is a simple job but tricky.the bentley repair manual for the 240 (1983-1993)has lot of info and pictures about changing the clock springs.it is the same procedure for the 740.i would call the dealer first and check for the price of a new one.i dont know if any of the parts online have it.clock springs can be found in junkyards,there are different sizes of them.if you cannot find one for your 92 740,look for a 940 or 760 and compare it whith yours.i hope this helps.good luck and keep us updated.charles.
