Engine wiring harness pigtail replacement 700

Hi guys,

I replaced the engine wiring harness in my '86 745tic on the weekend. I was amazed at the poor condition of the original harness. I notice that the "pigtail" that plugs into engine harness and penetrates the firewall on the passenger side is also very degraded. I would like to repair or replace this part. How can I get it out of the car? I didn't look too closely at it. I assume it connects to the computer?

Thanks,

Jeremy
