Leak on passenger side 900 1994

Hello fellow bricksters.

I have a 1994-960 with the ECC climate unit.

While trying to fix my stuck odometer yesterday (which is still not working) I had to remove the panel under the glove box. When I did, I found out that something was leaking on the inside portion of the panel (yellowy /green oily substance).

I’m pretty sure its coolant but I’m still not sure of the source of the leak at this point. (for the last half year I’ve been keeping an eye on the coolant reservoir tank as it’s been coming down very slowly. And the passenger side front window would tend to fog up sometimes for no reason but would go away when I turn on the defroster).

Following the wet trail, it looks like its running down the outside casing that holds the evaporator core – hard to tell because of all the other stuff that’s in there.

Can anyone tell me if there are any hoses or connectors around the passenger area that could be causing this leak? Or is more likely leaking around the mid-console area and making its way over to the passenger side?

Easy fix? Difficult?

TIA.

Rod
