Hey board,
This car does appear to be mechanically sound. In fact it was recommended by one of our local volvo gurus.
The car has 98000 on the clock. Its a one owner. Been serviced, by pros, every 5000 miles. Tires nealy new. body very good(couple scratches, nothing major). brakes done recently. Car starts and drives well. Has been converted to 134a refrigerant. gold color.

Negatives:(1) a/c clutch not engaging (2)overdrive not working(suspect relay, but I dont know) (3)engine compartment and car interior need detailing.

Here is what my research uncovered:
Blue book: $4200 consumer price(good conditon)
Blue book: $6000 retail price(excellent condition)
edmunds: $2917 dealer retail price.
Nada : $3465-4265 retail

How much is this car worth?
The owner says $5500 and she'll have all fixed, or $5000 as is.
I said $4200 as is. Whats fair?

All observations and opinions invited.

Thanks

Lawrence
