Upper a-arm bolts/alignment ? 140-160 1974

Yes, I've heard that too, that the bolts bend on each turn as they are tightened and are unduly stressed, if the bolt head is not parallel to the crossmember surface. If I had some sort of crowned washer, it might work better.

I will attempt to remove the ball joint nut and separate the two, for acces to the mount bolts. I think I have replacement upper balljoints while I'm at it. I have a press. But then I should do the bushings as well. Funny what these turn into...
