Blue Silicon life saver for M46 OD 200 1983

I replaced my clutch 2yrs back, and I even went so far as to replace a bunch of the OD gaskets - except for the frontmost case gasket. Guess what leaked?

Blue silicone came to the rescue, and it's still on there. So I guess the answer is, it will last long enough that it won't bother you if you have to redo it someday.
