Brake Fade 200

The brakes on my 242t are less than a year old, Zimmerman rotors and PBR metal pads. Around town and in general driving conditions the brakes work very well. However, after a bit of spirited canyon carving, the brakes fade quickly, leaving me with little in the way of stopping power. You guys with track cars, what pads and rotors are you running? Common wisdom is that drilled/slotted rotors are a waste of $$ for the street but would they be a better solution in this case?

TIA,
