what's this seal for? 1800

I just pulled one of those off of my car... It is for the sheetmetal that holds the radiator on the intake side of the engine compartment. The stock intake sucks air through this hole, and the rubber seal protects it(i'm assuming an intake tube of some sort) from getting rubbed on by the sheetmetal... Hopefully you understand what i'm saying. Peace,
