have 740 turbo wagon - need engine 700

I recently was given an '86 Volvo 740 Turbo Wagon. A connecting rod broke and punctured the oil pan. The body and interior are in overall good condition, so I'm thinking it might be worthwhile to get it running again. How hard is it to swap the engine on an automatic transmission model, and would the ECU care if the new engine is turbo or not?

The other question is would there be a market for the parts? Seats, 3 wheels, so on? I'm about to change jobs so I don't know if now is the right time to put that much effort in to restoring this car, and getting rid of it for parts would be a quicker solution.

If you're in the Raleigh, NC area and would want to check it out my email is npmaslow@ncsu.edu
