240 '89 front upper spring seat question 200 1989

Hi All,

Yesterday I received some parts... replacement upper strut bearings (front) as well as boots & bumpstops to plan the new strut replacment...

I "assumed" that the upper bearing assembly would include some type of seat for the spring at the top. I have not taken anything apart yet to see...

Can someone confirm if the upper spring seats are actually a separate part and hence I would plan on re-using the existing ones on the car? Do they just get pushed up under the bearing assembly?

Please let me know, hopefully I won't need to order anything else.

BTW I order Gabriel bearings (new) from ebay. 50 bucks for both was cheap. One of the bearings has a slight grinding when I turn it by hand. Any thoughts?

Let me know.

Greg
