Cam position for head reassembly 200 1980

I took the head from my 245DL to a machine shop for resurfacing and a valve job - when I reassemble the head to the engine, how do I set the position of the camshaft to match cylinder #1 TDC? When I removed the timing belt, I marked the belt in 3 places and the 3 corresponding gears, but once the valvetrain is disassembled and reassembled, I'm not sure how the cam gear would end up in the right spot. Hopefully I didn't miss a step...

Thanks

Zack
