STARTING PROBLEMS 900 1993

It tries to start, I had the head checked for leaks only. I followed the FAQ in starter troubleshooting, it checked out okay. Not sure if I put 180 out. Before I removed the timing belt, I aligned the cam and crank, marked the cam gear with white out and the belt locations before removal. The aux cam moved some, but I know the cam and crank are ther important ones. I did noticed when trying to crank the engine, that the belt marks didn't line up the way I put them back on. Sometimes they lined up and other times they didn't. I saw a slit in the crank pulley, I lined that up the marl on the block, and lined the cam up with the cam mark on the cover, reinstalled belt, no crank. Not sure what the next move is. How can I get it back from 180 out, if that is the case and I how can I verfy that it is 180 out. Thanks.
