that's right, just let it all out. 200 1987

My car is gonna last forever, right? RIGHT!? it's a not quite 1y.o. (to me) '87. here are some ailments i've been curious about:

power steering-
no noise, level was slightly low when i noticed the power seeming to cut out sometimes, mostly at certain angles of the wheels-such as just left of straight, 1/2 way between straight and locked to the left, etc. I filled the oil (atf) and tightened the belts (AC and PS) it seemed to get better, but only for a week.

fuel pump-
when people talk about the main fuel pump going, the whine preceding that is gonna be more than j u s t auduble, right? something that a casual passenger would notice without prodding?

tire pressure (fuel efficiency)
I have 185 r14s on steel rims, what should my pressure be? (the doorstickers confused me, right now they're all 4 around 32psi)

temp gauge-
I supposedly have a semi-serious radiator leak (when pressurized) but i haven't lost ANY fluid in a year... anyway, my temp gauge randomly stops working (stays at cold) for days or weeks at a time... suggestions on common failures? sensor, wiring, gauge? i don't want this to turn into a new engine rather than $5 and an hour.

happiness and prosperity to all of you!
