van tires

These "van" tires are load range "C" and "D" tires and are designed for vehicles capable of carrying heavy loads (these full size vans are built on truck type chassis. These tires usually require higher inflation pressures to operate properly and that will make the ride extremely harsh on a regular car. I would stick with normal passenger car tires but you could try to get ones that have a more robust construction. You could try a 195/70R14 in an "H" speed rating that would have a more robust construction than a standard 185R14 passenger tire if you wanted something that would be a stronger tire. Check the diameters to be sure you maintain the proper diameter. (I don't think you can get the regular 185R14 passenger tires in an "H" speed rating.) Look for tires that have two ply construction instead of one and ones that have a nylon cap ply for speed. This would be a more robust tire for you than the standard tire. Dunlop SP Sport A2 would be a good choice at the lowest price. There are also other "H" tires in this size that would work.
