Thanks for all the advice. I did have to drop the tranny. I removed the pressure plate to find that my 5 year old sachs clutch disc had failed. One of the three diaphrams that holds the springs in the clutch disk broke free and was allowing a great amount of play on the shaft. Just another anomaly for the archives. Thanks again, fascit
