Radiator blues 200 1978

I have a 1978 244DL that's my daily driver. Now that the weather is beginning to warm up in Maine, it runs hot. It seems to get worse the faster I go, doesn't like going up hill, and it's not a huge fan of stop and go traffic. It hasn't overheated yet, but that's because I lay off if it starts to get uncomfortably close to the red, usually to the chagrin of the drivers behind me. I'm not a DIYer; what might I be dealing with here? Is it a big/costly repair?
Thanks,
Sarah
