loss of vacuum ?-> no ignition

Before you tell me that it isn't possible, let me assure you that it is. I am not AT ALL aware of why this is the way it is...haven't taken the time to search the schematics to reason it out, but...if there is no power at the coil, and you can hear the pumps running, the problem is the power stage. By the way, the ground for the power stage is basically at the fuel rail. There are two 10mm bolts, one on each metal tab securing the fuel rail to the intake. The furthest one back grounds the power stage.
