Rear left wheel bearing bad -- but hafta drive on it : ( 700 1988

1988 760 Turbo, IRS...

Rear left wheel bearing is dying...makes light to medium squeaks, wheel is a bit warmer than the others...

I'm away from my home, tools, and garage, however, so I need to still make the 150 mi drive back up there. (the car sits a bit here, without being driven too much, sometimes just once in two weeks, and all of a sudden the bearing got significantly worse)

So I'm wondering, how easily does the bearing actually turn on the shaft? Or in its housing? Would I be able to tell? Would it be making a horrendous noise?

With moderate effort, I can still move the wheel by hand, but it definitely has more-than-usual resistance. Just worried about how much this may or may not damage things...molten metal and such...
