*response to Matt's questioning in a thread on the 122 forum... Thought everyone would like to hear, and this way i don't steal the topic on the 122 thread... =D
Yeah, so i got the car insured on Thursday, i came home yesterday, and was driving it around last night... (without updated registration, but at least it was better than the last six months because i haven't had insurance... Today, i went to the DMV renewal office in it, and saw a huge line. So i walked in and started looking through the registration stuff they send me, and saw that i can renew ONLINE. So I left and just finished renewing online! I'M READY TO ROLL! And i'll be bringing it back down to Corvallis, (hour and a half drive, wish me luck...) tomorrow, and then coming back up to portland the next two weekends. My car WILL make it to the IPD garage sale, and i'll have some stuff to get rid of, but i need to find someone to share a spot with... I've put about 250 miles on the car since i broke it, and just about 50 miles ago changed the fluid for the first time. The clunks are not as bad or often, usually just minor clicks here and there now. It sure can be a chore starting up a hill when your starting in second though, the worn out DGV sure doesn't help either...
All in all, i'm legally on the road, and IN NEED OF A JOB!!!!!!!!!!! The car runs good, feels fast, well as fast as it can be when loaded with about 400lbs of stuff and no first gear. I got the tail to come out though just a few minutes ago, kinda suprised me that it was able to with all that stuff in the back. =D Good times for sure... My savings is going to be gone soon, and i owe my parents a lot from my spring break trip to Germany...
And, at the IPD GS i'll be obtaining a couple of good m40s that will be going in sometime i have time(summer). And i think i'll refrain from anything else, because i really can't afford it. Hopefully i'll make some money off of stuff at the sale. Still not sure if i should sell the rear bar or not...
That's the current situation, well, along with searching for a job, looking for a house, and signing up for classes where ever i stay this summer...
Peace,
Kyle, at home, driving my car and loving it... :) Oh, check out my cardomain website because i have a "list" of things "done" to the car now... Page 8.
