c.i. fuel inj seal , broken bolt question 200

hi all i was replacing the o ring seals on my 85 244turbo. well i broke one of the hex head bolts that holds the injector retainer to the head. i was thinking of fashioning a bracket to bridge from the intake stud which is about one and one half inches away, and when tightened the bracket will put pressure on the injector retainer that goes on top of the black spacer type part to which the injector seats into. will it work?
