Cleaning Cloth Seats 200

Has anyone had any experience cleaning cloth seats?

I bought by first Volvo -- a 1992 240 with 158K -- last winter. Now that the weather is nice here in Wisconsin I'm starting to address some appearance issues. The car has the tan cloth interior. The seats aren't torn, spotted or cigarette burned. They're just slightly grungy -- visible dirt in places you'd expect it in a 12 year old car.

Has anyone used a home steam-vac with the upholstery attachments for cleaning seats? Or would I just be better off taking it into a shop and paying for a pro cleaning?

Any suggestions?

Pete
