Wiring trailer lights in my '72 145 140-160

Hello Folks!

I just got a call from Rob the Mechanic who is trying to wire a plug for my trailer lights on my 145. I am pretty much a total nimcompoop when it comes to wiring, but as I understand it, the problem is that the bulbs on the 145 are single filament, and on the trailer are double filament.

Does anyone know how to deal with this? I know he has made some calls, but as of yet has not figured out the trick for the wiring. Is there a relay somewhere or how does one go about doing this? I need to have a working plug for my trailer by Friday morning, as I have a small business road tripand I intend on taking this car.

Thanks, folks!
