Hmm, maybe I will fix my Ac?

I have a friend who reported that she had recharged the A/C in her non-volvo about a month ago for a cost of about $100. That sounded like a pretty good price with the nice wheather we have had lately. I called the place and they said it would cost the same price for my car too. The A/C hasn't been charged since '95. It trys to blow cool air, but it's just not very effective. What do you think about the $100 deal that I found. P.S My car has a R12 system. How long do you think the new charge would last? I guess I woudn't mind if I only had to do it every 10 years. That would be a pretty hard thing to hope for though.
