164 Steering Alignment 140-160 1974

My steering is off in my 74 164. The wheel is turned slightly left when I am going straight. I took it in to get a front end alignment and the guy at the shop told me that the alignment is fine. He thinks the problem is in the steering box. Any one else had this problem? Is there another adjustment to correct the steering wheel or does the steering box need replaced? I can live with the steering being slightly off I was just concered about wearing my tires, but if the alignment is on that shouldn't be a problem. I don't know if this problem will get worse if I don't replace it. Thanks for any input.
