Another you said was that it wanted to 'coke out' every time you started it. My car used to die when it was cold when shifting out of first gear. After the injectors were flushed out, it ran a lot better and the engine idled better. Check the cat for sure, and it doesn't hurt to have the injectors flushed. Other real easy things to check are the fuel filter and air filter.
